Golden Apple
Golden apple with stem and leaf, sculpted from a sheet of 18k gold. Created for a client who wanted to give the apple to his wife for her 40th birthday. Inspired by the Greek myth "The Judgement of Paris" and engraved with the phrase "For The Fairest" in reference to the myth. For more photos and backstory, see "Process Notes: Golden Apple."
Wooden Tzedakah Box
Linda designed this large wood Tzedakah box for a synagogue in Irvine, CA. The sculpture is 5 feet tall and sits on a granite base. The wood is cherry with pigmented resin inlays. The upward spiral shape represents the "Song of Ascent," which is the name of the synagogue. For more about the making of this piece, see "Process: Tzedakah Box."
CA Poppy
Sterling silver sculpture of a CA poppy with leaves and buds. Base is patinated copper. Sculpture is 8" tall and 5.5" at widest diameter. Raised, forged, cast, chasing and repoussé, fabricated.
Mezuzah
Sterling silver and 18k yellow gold. Stands 5" tall by 3" wide. Forged, formed, fabricated. A mezuza is a parchment scroll contained inside a decorative case, like the one above, that is attached to the doorpost. The parchment is inscribed with Hebrew verses from the Torah.
Windows Past & Present
Wall art, vitreous enamel on copper with copper, silver, and gold cloisonné wires. Enamel size is 3" by 3". Framed enamel is 11" by 11".
Sonoma Meadow
Wall art titled "Sonoma Meadow -- Late Summer." Porcelain enamel on steel, vitreous enamel. Framed enamel is 21" by 21".
