Fine Jewelry & Metalwork

I am extremely motivated by an affinity for the material metal: gold, silver, bronze, platinum, and pewter. I am drawn to its look, its feel, and its physical properties. My work incorporates other materials -- gemstones, pearls, wood, stone -- in accordance with the client's brief and the aesthetics of the piece.

The intent of this website is to share some of the work that I have created over my career as a metalsmith (I am not actively seeking more commissions at this time). Many of these pieces are currently in private collections.

Fine Jewelry & Metalwork

My inspiration comes from many sources, including landscape forms, botanical references, natural phenomena, literature, classical dance, and ancient civilizations.

Sculpture & Holloware

Many of my pieces are created entirely with hammering processes from a single sheet of metal. I select a particular process or tool based on the surface it will create and how the marks made by that tool or process may guide the viewer’s eye to engage with the lines or form of the piece. I aspire to invite the viewer to experience my holloware vessels from a tactile as well as visual perspective.

Fine Jewelry

I believe that exacting craftsmanship should complement creative expression. I intend my jewelry to be comfortably wearable and to contribute to the wearer’s distinct individuality. Pieces are created by commission and are one-of-a-kind.
